Better security

Bet ya didn’t know…

We carefully select our products for better security features as well as aesthetics, durability & energy efficiency. The foregoing qualities are the most frequent responses given when salespeople bother to ask homeowners, “What features are most important in your replacement window and/or door decision?”

The difference between a consultant and a salesperson is that a consultant will first determine what is important to the homeowner, choose the product that is best suited, then show in writing and during the demonstration how their product or products fulfill those needs. Introducing relevant information, the homeowner may not have thought of, helps ensure an informed decision is made that best suits both the home & homeowner. A canned presentation is the mark of the “sales oriented/one-call-close/our one product fits all” approach to securing the sale rather than addressing needs with real solutions.

At Truwin Windows Doors & Siding, we pride ourselves on building a relationship with each of our clients by educating, demonstrating & providing the solution or solutions that best suit the client. Transparency is very important to us as we seek to build relationships with an eye toward current as well as future needs. It’s not about making as much money as possible on this one sale -a short sighted ambition.

Making our homes a harder target for criminals, windows & doors, weak points of entry for would be burglars & thieves, require attention to detail…

Here are a few of the features to look for:

  • Security strike plate
  • Laminated (Impact) glass
  • Multi-Point lock systems
  • Recessed pick resistant locks
  • Outswing doors
  • Interior glazing bead

In addition to carefully selecting our window & door products, we have recently formed a partnership with Harris County Sheriff’s office to help educate homeowners by making homes a hard targets. Feb 19th 2020 we attended the most current Harris County Sheriff’s Office (HCSO) Precinct II Safety Forum.

July 11 2019, we attended the Humble – Fall Creek safety forum. Check with your local sheriff’s office to see when & where your next community meeting will be held. Kingwood, Humble, Atascocita, Huffman, East Aldine are all in Precinct II.

We sincerely hope this article was of some small assistance & wish you the best with your window & door buying decision. For more information, please call to discuss your project or schedule a free in-home consultation:
